Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous WordsI learned about today's words from my new vocab manual, Wordly Wise (which I HIGHLY recommend, btw) and from the Merriam-Webster Word of the Day (from a couple days ago).

Definition: marked by unruly or aggressive noisiness, clamorous; stubbornly resistant to control, unruly 
Sentence: On her first day of substitute teaching, Joanna expected to encounter a classroom of obstreperous teenagers, but the students were mostly well behaved.

Phlegmatic
(adj)
Definition: not given to action or reaction; sluggish or calm in temperament
Sentence: The phlegmatic nature of llamas makes them easy to manage.
